The walk to Bayside Mall was quick but very hot. Miami people were telling us this was "cold" for Miami, but for two Canadians it was hot. On our way to the mall we walked by an interesting landmark. The Torch of Friendship.
We walked up and down the mall and went into a few stores. On our must buy list of today were the following:
- A new belt for Jeremy - his broke on the plane ride
- Cups for the soda machines on board
- Alcohol
We found Jeremy a belt at Clark's, it was even on sale. SCORE!
Our next stop was a small cafe called Mambo Cafe. We were starting to get hungry for lunch, so decided to have a small snack to hold us over. While in line I noticed the lady in front of us, with 3 young kids, had a Calgary shirt on. I asked if she was from Calgary, and we got a talking. They were also going on the Wonder tomorrow. We asked the kids what they were going to be for halloween. Just in case she reads this, Hi Sully, Belle, and Olaf! At the cafe Jeremy got a Guava pastry and a cuban beef pastry, and I got a croissant. I got to taste his and really enjoyed the Guava pastry.
The next step was the Disney Store. I was on a mission to find a little something for a christmas gift, can't mention it here just incase a family member reads it. However we also found our tumblers, Jeremy got a Grumpy one and I got a Cheshire Cat one. With that done we were over heated and went back to the horel in the hopes that our room was ready. It wasn't, so we sat in the lovely A/C lobby and did some research on where to eat lunch. Jeremy found a little cafe near by called Cafe del Teatro. It was a quick 5 min walk from our hotel. So off we went in the search for a cuban sandwich.
We arrived! It was a very small cafe only 3 tables and a few chairs. Jeremy had a cuban sandwich.
And I had a chicken caesar salad.
Both were very good! We really enjoyed the cuban sandwich and are planning to try to make something similar at home.
On the way back to the hotel we stopped at the CVS across the street for our hotel and got some interesting treats.
We walked across the street back to our hotel and we were able to check in! YAY!! We took the very small elevator up to our room and decided to relax until dinner.
